This is the final week of this semester of school. As I sit
here thinking about the many lessons that I have learned I cannot think of any
that would be more important to others. Each of the lessons that we have been
given and had to study and reflect on will have its own days and times to
shine. I know that all the lessons we learned will guide us to being a good
helpful and progressive member of the society and world we choose to live in.
Our course will be steadied by the lessons and the thoughts of our fellow
students. We have all learned that we need to set our course and follow the
guideposts that we feel are needed to keep us moving and in a forward and
positive direction.
As I think about how I entered this course not quite knowing
what to expect and thinking that an entrepreneur was somebody that opened more
than one business after another and tried to make as much money as they could
while they were at it. It had not occurred to me that entrepreneurship could be
used to better the world around us. I now know that they can and should do good
things in the world. If you seek to follow that path then you will need to make
sure that you have the proper tools to keep you on the path of good, as it
were.
The tools that you will need to keep on the correct path are
a group of people or mindsets that will help you to see all of your choices from
every side of the situation. They may see that if you make a small bend in your
principles or guideposts that you have set for yourself may cause you to begin
to slip down the hill. The trip down the hill can become very slippery very fast.
Your group of people and planned guideposts can help you to maintain your
correct and true path in life.
As a final helpful bit I have learned that every hero has a
journey that they had to go on before they could truly be considered to be a
hero. They had to suffer in some way. They were forced to make a life altering decision
so that they could get to a point where they could rest and prepare for the “Boss
Fight” at the end of their journey.
This fight will almost always be one where they will change or
expose the deepest part of their very soul to gain the victory that they have
been working towards. We can see this hero’s journey played time and again in
modern entertainment. Each and every tie we are shown that the hero will suffer
an almost killing blow and have to come back from that to gain the win and
prove to themselves that they are worthy of the title of hero or not.
Find you path and seek that end of that path, prepare for a
fight that will cost you a lot of pain.
